Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry-Vinashin Group- is well-known as one of the first economic groups in Vietnam providing the service of building and repairing thousands of seagoing vessels for Vietnam and the world’s maritime industry.

Following the Government‘s strategy, Vinashin Group has developed as a diversified group. Beside its main business of shipbuilding, the group has set up a number of member companies with range of activities. Of these, logistics has been established as one of the most important in group to support import-export and transportation.

To serve the increasing demand and to develop the group in view of Vietnam‘s integration with the global market, Vinashin has cooperated with a freight forwarding company, the New World Company, to establish Vinashin-New World Logistics Joint Stock Company” (VNW) which is operated by a management team with experience in leading logistics as well as shipping companies.
